1. Perfume Pagoda
Chua Huong - Perfume Pagoda is located in the northwest of Hanoi, this pagoda has a supernatural power to the locals. To get there, you need to go by different ways of transportations from walking, taking a boat to climbing the mountain. Because of those struggling to get to the pagoda, it made this pagoda even more powerful for people. Every years this pagoda welcome so many tourists from Vietnam and even from the whole world. 2. Hoa Lu

3. Bai Dinh pagoda
Bai Dinh pagoda is a group of religious buildings recorded as the biggest pagoda in Southest Asia. It was built from 2003 to 2010 with a huge scale, it contains so many small detail decoration such as wood or gold statues, wood stairs… Bai Dinh Pagoda is a simple of Vietnamese pagoda structure. You should come here to see how Vietnamese religious culture is.

4. Trang An and Tam Coc Eco Tourism
Known as the second Halong Bay “on land” Trang An Tam Coc is famous for its caves tour on boat, aournd 2 hours you can see about 9 caves and a lot of vegetations surrounding. As I said you shoud do this one with Bai Dinh to have a full day of activities.

5. Mai Chau Valley
Get away from the busy city, we can get to Mai Chau valley after 3,5 hours driving from Hanoi where you will have a peacful atmostphere, a simple local life, a pure natural beauty. With its unique culture, Mai Chau was highly recommended by travel community for years. If you don’t have so much time but you still want to see mountain valley and terrace field sight-seeing, Mai Chau will be the best option beside Sapa. 6. Cuc Phuong national park

Cuc Phuong national park is a nature reserve, a special use forest which is located in a border of Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa province. With its own nature,culture,history value, Cuc Phuong national park has became a really famous destination for tourists in Vietnam.
7. Bac Son Valley
Bac Son is becoming popular recently, it looks like a rice paddle balcony between a river and a lot of mountains. It quite similar to Ninh Binh but because tourism has been brought here so it still keeps its own pure beauty. When you take a boat trip here it will be more adventurous than Hoa Lu or Trang An.

8. Bat Trang Ceramic village
There is a special story about Hanoi, that it has 36 streets with each street will sell just only one stuff for example there is a street just selling clothes, or silver …. Also Hanoi has so many villages in which each village just produce only one stuff, and the most famouse village is Bat Trang ceramic village. Of course this village is famous for ceramic stuff such as bowl,plate,flower pot… Just 15km away from the city center, this village is the nearest and easiest to get to. You can get here by bus or motorbike or you can combine it with a fulll day city tour which organized by a trustworthy travel agent. In here you can see how they make the ceramic from a kind of powder or you can do it yourself also.
9. Van Phuc Silk village
Just 10km to the southwest of the city, Van Phuc is famous for producing silk. Locals here are so proud if their traditional product - SILK. You can get here by bus to see how they make the silk, how they dye it and also can buy a few roll of silk to make scarf for your own with a cheaper price than Hanoi city center.
Tip : Can combine with Duong Lam ancient village.
10. Duong Lam ancient village
50 km to the west , Duong Lam is a preserved ancient village. There are houses which was built 300 years ago around this village, you can walk around to see what is the real rural life in Vietnam. With the traditional structure such as stone yard, village gate, ceramic tent, locals temple. This village is one of some villages still keeping the ancient way of building house in the north of Vietnam.
