General FAQs
1. Do you need visas to travel to Asia?
Asia offers an incredible diversity of cultures, landscapes, and experiences — and visa requirements are just as varied. Depending on your nationality and destination, you may enjoy visa-free entry, qualify for an e-Visa, or need to obtain a traditional visa in advance. Planning is essential, as regulations differ widely between countries and even by your mode of entry (for example, arriving by air or land).
Visa-Free and e-Visa Options
Many Asian countries welcome travelers from selected nations without a visa for short stays:
- Thailand: Visa exemption for many nationalities for up to 30 days when arriving by air.
- Malaysia: Visa-free entry for citizens of numerous countries.
- Singapore: Visa-free travel for many nationalities for short-term visits.
- Indonesia: Visa exemptions for travelers from 169 countries and territories for up to 30 days.
Several destinations simplify the process with convenient electronic visa systems:
- Vietnam: Offers a 90-day multiple-entry e-Visa available to all nationalities.
- Cambodia: Provides a 30-day tourist e-Visa, easily applied for online.
- India: Requires an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) before arrival.
- Sri Lanka: Travelers must also obtain an ETA before travel.
Some destinations still require travelers to apply for a visa in advance:
- China: Most visitors must apply through an official visa center roughly one month before departure.
- Japan: Requires pre-approved visas for most nationalities before travel.
- Check Requirements Early: Always confirm the latest entry and visa information through official embassy or government websites.
- Apply in Advance: For destinations requiring a visa, submit your application early to avoid delays.
- Keep Documents Handy: Organize your passport, visa (if applicable), return ticket, and proof of funds for easy presentation at immigration.
- Understand Entry Rules: Be aware that visa exemptions and durations can vary depending on whether you arrive by air, land, or sea.
- Plan for Extensions: If you intend to stay longer than your visa or visa-free period allows, research extension procedures before arrival.
2. Can you help arrange my travel visas?
Yes, we can help you get visas in some countries. Depending on your nationality and where you want to go, the requirements for travel visas can be very different. Pls chat with your travel designer. They will have very useful advice on your visa issue.
3. I’m traveling with children. Is Asia safe?
At Vietnam Amazing Tours, we understand that exploring the world together as a family creates some of life’s most meaningful memories. Traveling with children is not just about seeing new places — it’s about sharing experiences, discovering together, and strengthening the bond between generations.
With our extensive experience in family travel, each itinerary includes a recommended minimum age to ensure the comfort, safety, and enjoyment of every traveler. Some destinations or activities may have specific age restrictions. All children must be accompanied on activities by a parent or guardian.
To make family adventures even more memorable, we’ve created “Amazing Family Tours” — specially designed journeys for families to enjoy together. These kid-friendly itineraries combine fun, learning, and cultural discovery, ensuring that both children and adults experience the joy of travel in their own way.
4. Can I book a family or connecting room?
The hotels at each location offer a diverse selection of lodging options, including family rooms, which can be reserved. The availability of connecting rooms is not as common; therefore, it is best to check with your travel designer.
5. What are my room options as a solo traveller?
At Vietnam Amazing Tours, we welcome solo travelers who wish to explore the world at their own pace. Our pricing is based on two guests sharing a twin room(double room), but we offer flexible options designed to suit the comfort and preferences of those traveling alone.
If you’d like to save on costs, you can choose to share a twin room (two separate beds) with another solo traveler of the same gender — a great way to meet like-minded adventurers. This option is subject to availability and can be requested at the time of booking.
For travelers who prefer more privacy and space, we offer the option to book a single room for an additional supplement. This single traveler supplement covers the cost difference for having a room entirely to yourself, ensuring a comfortable and personal retreat at the end of each travel day.
Whether you’re sharing a room or enjoying your own private space, we’re committed to making your journey with us both enjoyable and seamless.
6. Are there discounts & special offers?
