A new experience with halong silversea cruise on Halong bay

Hello!
This time, I’d like to share with you guys my experiences to a popular destination in Vietnam - Halong Bay. Before going there I was really curious about what is the speciality of this place that making people once think about Vietnam, they immediately think of Halong Bay – one of 7 wonders in the world.
I have done some researches about how to get a full experience of Halong Bay, there are so many ways such as you can go yourself to Halong then get a hostel and get a day trip, or you can stay on a cruise for 1 or 2 nights that going through islets, limestones,…while you’re having lunch or maybe sleeping. I decided to choose a cruise which go for 2 days 1 night to enjoy fully Halong Bay and the trip will not too long for my schedule. Then here we go!
Depart to Halong Bay
In the morning theywill pick you up at your hotel in the old town ! Here we go !
Daily tour is a tour that the schedule was set,you have to wake up in the early morning to wait for the bus picking you up after breakfast...Arround 9:00 we headed to Halong Bay after going around the Old Town in order to pick up other tour participants.
When I got the bus, an English speaking tour guide was talking about various things such as some information about Halong Bay, about Vietnam,…The bus went on, then we took a 30-minutes break at a beautiful handicraft shop.There are so many things here like food,jewelry,hand-made stuff….Because I was thirsty so I bought juice and took a break ^ ^ But the quality is just Ok.
Finally arrived at Halong Bay Tuan Chau port!
About 12:00, I arrived at the harbor of Halong Bay, a world heritage site.
Before taking a ship, there was a small break of 10 to 15 minutes again.After that the guide let us get on a small boat to head to the “Silver Sea Cruise boat” which we were on.
Arrived at Silver Sea Cruise
Finally, I arrived at the Silver Sea Cruise that I would stay until the following day! !
At the entrance, the staff greeted me with a big smile and said Shinchao - hi (hello). And then I enjoyed their welcome drinks in the restaurant which was quite large and it had so many big window that you could have a great view when having lunch here. The cruise manager started to explain about our schedule and the description of the ship.
My very first impression washow I felt since I got on this boat is the professional service and accommodating attitude of all staffs here. When they’re introduced by the manager, they were all giving us a huge friendly smile which surprised me a lot. Due to this first impression, I believed that this trip would have lot of fun and memories. After that I got the key for my room and I was really excited to see how my room looks like.

When I opened the room ... I though Wow, this is my room where I will stay for 2 days to discover Halong Bay? Unbelievable.

As the window was really large, it seemed like I could embrace Halong Bay while sleeping. In the morning after waking up I could open my window and enjoy the moment when Halong Bay was really quite and romantic.
On the rooftop terrace & bar
It was wonderful when you come up to the rooftop of this cruise. It had a big terrace with plenty of chairs that I could sit or lie on then listen to music or reading book when the cruise was going around Halong Bay with a great scenery. Could not imagine how relaxed it would be!
Lunch with courses meal
Now, it's time for lunch! As I imagined, it was just luxury, there are about 3 or 4 course including appetizer, main dishes, dessert… which was served one by one like a western restaurant. We could also order soft drinks or alcohol here but it costs a bit more than on-land does.While having lunch, I could enjoy a great of Bay view , it was for the first time in my life I could enjoy my meal like that.
Explore the titop island
After lunch time, I took a short-break then get on a small boat to discover an Island named Titop.Climb up a few stairs you can get to see the over view of Halong Bay as I showed here in the picture.
Just after a blink, you can immediately see the sun sets behind those islets. This moment is really valuable for me, sometimes you can only see that kind of moment once in your life time. It brings me a lot of emotions, life was just worth living this way.
Returning from the island to the Silver Sea Cruise boat, it is finally a dinner time!

Dinner is waiting for us
Enjoy a wonderful dinner while drinking wine and cocktails. The food is even better than it was at lunch time, more seafood, more professional, the chef of the cruise directly showed us how he grilled that juicy shrimp. The fish was Vietnamese way to cook, you will have it with rice paper and some noodles served with their special sauce. This food for dinner made us totally full and don’t really want to have something else.
Karaoke competition
When we finished dinner, the karaoke competition started!
It is a tour where people from various countries gather, so it was a lot of fun to listen to songs from their country !

Night activities are also fulfilling!
After the dinner, we could enjoy a magic show on the terrace, everyone had a mini game to entertain, on the first floor there are night squid fishing, there are plenty of contents at night as well!
You could joy it or not, but I think to joy and drink with people that you just see for the first time, you can make so many new friends all over the world.
While watching Sunrise, Tai Chi
In the morning of the second day, we started from Sunrise & Tai Chi! !
Let's have a hard time, try to get up early and see the sunrise! !
The day I went was cloudy and I could not see it beautifully as other people,but I think it can be seen better if the weather is good and clear ! Then, it’s time for doing Tai Chi !
With Tai Chi I could inhale a delicate air of Halong bay, then when exhaling,I felt very comfortable! !

Let's go exploring the surprising caves
From Silver Sea Cruise, wechanged to a small boat and headed towards the limestone cave.
Guessed a fantastic scenery was waiting for us
Look how beautiful it is ! From this I could see another side of Halong Bay. In the cave, there are so many types or shapes of the limestone that made from water and Nitro during the period of thousand years.Then we returned to the ship, checked out the room!After that, we spent a relaxing time on the sundeck.
May I sit in the cockpit ...?
When I was furious close to the cockpit, the captain invited me to the cockpit! !

I was talking with the captain so much and he seem to be really funny and nice. Because there is not much opportunity to sit in the cockpit, it was a very good memory
Cooking class start! !
Everyone loved it, I would make "spring roll"
Let me tell you how to make it, you would have some fesh vegetable, carrot, cucumber, noodles and a small piece of pork in each roll. You put one by one in a rice paper, then rolled it together put it in a small bowl of sauce. And enjoy it! Very fresh!
Lunch time
Lunch started soon after the cooking class.
Lunch is buffet, so everyone can choose what they want to eat. Selft-serving and eat!
After eating slowly and being relaxed, we finally arrived at the shore!
Halong Bay cruise ended so far
It was 2 days with luxurious feeling and a lot fun...
Minibus to Hanoi
From Halong Bay to Hanoi, we were traveling in the same minibus as we got here the other day.
I arrived in Hanoi around 17 o'clock.
Because we’re dropped off near the hotel where we stayed, so we were totally safe for the returning
How I feel after the trip
For the first time of my life, I went to Halong Bay. Halong Bay is totally different from Hanoi, there are so many different things such asthe natural beauty of a world heritage, the chilling atmostphere you could hardly had when living in this modern city life. Because I spent there a night so I can see the beauty of Halong Bay in a day time. And with this cruise I felt very comfortable and satisfied with the service.
Every staff member told me a lot of relaxing spaceson the Silver Sea Cruise.
Also the meal was luxurious and delicious, the Silver Sea Cruise was qualified very much from the viewpoint of equipment and the beauty of the ship. Liberated from your daily busyness, looking at the sky without thinking about what you have to do or what you will have for lunch. …
I saw the beautiful scenery of Halong Bay and thought that it was a really nice tour to join!
