The top cave in Phong Nha Ke Bang national park

#1 The Phong Nha Cave

Located in the karst limestone of Ke Bang, Son Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province, 50 km northwest of Dong Hoi city, From Son River, you will go more than 30 minutes to Phong Nha cave. With a length of 7,729m, 83m deep, 50m high with many small sub-branches including Bi Ky cave, Tien cave and Cung Dinh cave.

 

#2 Tien Son Cave

Tien Son or Dry cave is a famous cave in the Phong Nha - Ke Bang area. Tien Son cave entrance is located about 1,000 meters from Phong Nha cave, and was discovered in 1935.
Tien Son Cave is 980m long and although not connected, Tien Son Cave and Phong Nha Cave are part of a common cave system. Tien Son Cave is considered a castle of stalactites with thousands of colorful blocks

 

#3 Thien Duong caves (Praradise cave)

Paradise Cave is a large and beautiful dry cave, located in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, Son Trach Commune, Bo Trach District, Quang Binh Province. The Celestial Cave was discovered in 2005 and was discovered by the Royal Caves Association from 2005 to 2010. In 2010, the cave was reported to have a total length of 31.4 km, the longest in Asia. Paradise cave is a dry cave, with no underground river flowing inside like the nearby Phong Nha cave.

 

#4 Dark Cave

The Dark Cave is a branch of the Phong Nha cave system in Quang Binh Vietnam, surveyed by Royal explorers in 1990 and 1992. The cave is 20 meters wide, 40 meters high. Like many caves in Phong Nha - Ke Bang area, Dark cave is length of 5.258m, 80m high. Dark Cave is named by the British Royal Caves, because the "dark light" in the cave is so unique that it can be touched.

The cave is pristine with thousands of colorful stalactites and stalactites. It is home to many animals such as bats and swallows. The cave is located by the river so it has high humidity, so the stalactite in the cave is covered with green moss.

 

#5 Thuy Cung cave

The Thuy Cung Cave is not a famous cave in Quang Binh but also attracts many visitors to visit. The name is called Thuy Cung is a water. The water flows from the inside of the cave. The cave flows along the Fairy Stream outside and flows to the Nuoc Lan cave and the Dark Cave.

To reach Thuy Cung cave, you have to cross the immense grass hill to reach the primitive forest of oil with hundreds of old tree trunk. #6 Tu Lan cave

Tu Lan cave system is located in Tan Hoa village, Minh Hoa district, Quang Binh. #7 En cave

Dubbed the third largest cave in the world. You will be overwhelmed with the majestic beauty of Hang En. Hang En has a total length of 1,645m across a mountain and bore three gates, located southeast and northwest along the stream flowing Rao Thuong. Hang En is considered one of the great caves in the world by National Geographic Magazine (USA). Especially, Hang En has its own ecosystem and climate, along with pristine forest and beautiful river, for a unique experience. Camping on the sand, watching the blue water in the cave is no different than the feeling outside the beach.

 

#8 Son Doong Cave

Son Doong Cave is the largest natural cave in the world. This cave is located in Phong Nha - Ke Bang cave complex. Son Doong has an estimated length of 5 km, a height of 200 m and a width of 150 m. Son Doong cave is part of the underground system connecting more than 150 other caves in Vietnam near the border with Laos. Meanwhile, the New York Times ranked Son Doong at No. 8 among 52 places on the list of places to discovery in 2014.

Other great features of the cave make Son Doong a wonderful natural work is the underground river system, huge stalactites masses, natural slug holes and natural. Son Doong Cave is so large that it can accommodate the entire 40-story skyscraper in New York City. Inside the cave is a separate world of organisms, where light passes through the "filters" from the mouths of the upper decayed holes and clouds accumulating near the ceiling create high humidity. The stalagmites in Son Doong rise up to nearly 80 m. Limestone-like limestones are scattered throughout the cave floor. This deep underground scene shows that the world still has many beautiful landscapes to explore.
