Morning
After breakfast, you will be greeted by your guide and driven to Cu Chi, a small village located northwest of Ho Chi Minh City known for its network of subterranean tunnels that served as a haven and successful infiltration route for the Viet Cong during the closing stages of the Vietnam War.
Upon arrival, you will view a brief instructional movie before visiting the tunnels, the most renowned battlegrounds of the period. It is thought that the concealed network of Viet Cong tunnels spanned "hundreds of miles" in total length and contained living quarters, storage areas, temporary hospitals, kitchens, etc. Although the system was initially somewhat narrow, some sections have been enlarged for tourists, and you have the option to explore them.
Please note that these tunnels will be hot and claustrophobic, so if you want to watch from above ground, that is an option.
Cassava, the staple diet of the Viet Cong soldiers, is served alongside a tart tea. After exploring the Cu Chi Tunnels, have lunch at the local restaurant on the way.
Afternoon
After lunch, get to the Mekong Delta and get on a rowboat to go around the narrow canals beneath the coconut tree fronds.
Get in a motorboat and sail to Coconut Island. Get off at a local family's house to eat tropical fruits and drink honey tea and wine. Watch the villagers make things out of local materials and listen to them play music live.
Take a walk down the country roads in the afternoon to learn how people live around here. Take a break in the calm setting before saying farewell and going back to Ho Chi Minh City.

While just a portion of the original complex remains, the displays offer a Vietnamese perspective through images and essays about the foreign countries involved in Vietnam's recent history.
Finish the day with an engaging water puppet show, a particularly northern Vietnamese art form claimed to have originated in the Red River Delta's flooded rice fields, when villagers entertained themselves by maneuvering puppets across the water. The play uses colorful wooden puppets to depict stories from Vietnamese folklore.

Keep going to the Mua cave. The place attracts visitors with its many interesting stories. Climb 500 stone steps staircase leading up the peak. From the top, you can see Tam Coc and enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the countryside and the Ngo Dong river. Lunch will be served at the local restaurant.

It is an outstanding natural beauty and the scenic karst formations which contribute to its reputation as being the “Halong Bay on land”. The last activity is cycling. Cycle for half an hour on quiet roads through villages, rice fields, rivers, and rocky outcrops inside the village. The most common friends you’ll be making are the friendly cows and water buffalo on the roadside, or you may have to stop as a family of ducks crosses ahead of you. Finally, return to the bus, where your vehicle will be waiting for you, and arrive back in Hanoi in the late afternoon.

You can head to the upper deck after your excellent meal to take in Halong Bay's grandeur in all of its natural, pure, magical, and beautiful manifestations.
Are you all set to join the activity? Let's kayak for an hour around the region of the floating community. If you don't like kayaking, don't worry, you can also swim.
When the time is up, you'll head back to the boat for a fun sundown party on the sundeck. Here, you may mingle with other tourists while listening to relaxing music and taking in the breathtaking splendor of Halong Bay.

Overnight on Halong Bay
Meal: Breakfast | lunch | dinner
Get up early and join us for a practice of Tai Chi on the terrace deck. This will help you relax your mind and muscles as you watch the first rays of sunlight strike the sea. The dining room is stocked with beverages such as coffee, tea, and pastries, perfect for starting the day off well.
After breakfast, you'll be prepared to embark on the day's main adventure: exploring the Cave. That is one of the most stunning and alluring caves in Halong Bay. It is a remarkable destination. Your knowledgeable tour guide will talk to you about everything there is to know about it.
Proceed with your cruise across the Bay, which is characterized by its limestone rocks and several little islands. An ever-evolving background for photography can be found in the form of grottoes and little beaches that are abandoned and were sculpted out by wind and sea. Not to mention the mental pictures of ancient junks or basket boats floating off in the distance on glistening waters.
Later, as you have a delicious lunch, we'll cruise back to the pier. After that, it will be time to disembark and bid the boat crew farewell.
You will be transferred back to Ha Noi after being dropped off at the dock.
Late afternoon
Begin your journey by visiting a traditional restaurant with dishes including pillow cake, shrimp cake, Pho rolls, and spring rolls. Taste some popular and classic Vietnamese cuisine.
Next, eat pho (noodle soup), Vietnam's most popular food. However, this is a new and different kind of Pho that is dry-blended and served with a special sauce. Try the chicken variations; the refreshing flavor will blow your mind!
Then, stop by a neighborhood restaurant to eat Banh Mi, a trademark baguette with a variety of fillings and an explosion of flavors. Do not skip out on the Kem Xôi dessert (sticky rice with ice cream). Indulge in the ice cream's sweetness, the sticky texture of the rice, and the crunch of the dried coconut.
After numerous dishes, you will be full and satisfied. Grab a taxi and head straight to the train station. Although train timetables state that they come every day, they do not always arrive, so if you are lucky, you might catch one and see the massive train pass just in front of your face.
While you are here, eat egg coffee at a nice trackside shop and soak in the unique atmosphere.
Before an amazing evening, go to Ta Hien Street, where you can enjoy a local cold beer. Find an open seat, do as the locals do: pull up a stool and enjoy a drink while watching the world go by at Bia Hoi Corner.

1. Vietnam
If you need a visa for Vietnam, you need to get one before your trip. You can't get one immediately when you get there because it takes processing time. If you are going to enter Vietnam through a land border, you will need to apply for a regular Vietnam visa. The Vietnam E-Visa is not accepted at many of the land borders we cross. You can apply for the e-visa to visit Vietnam through the website:
https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/trang-chu-ttdt. Entry to Vietnam with an eVisa is supported at 13 airports, 16 land borders, and 13 seaports - details can be found here
2. Thailand
Most people from most countries do not need a visa to visit Thailand for 30 days or less, but if you do, you can get one when you get to Bangkok Airport. You will need to get a vacation visa ahead of time if you plan to stay in Thailand for more than 30 days. When you enter Thailand by land, you can only get a tourist visa good for 15 days.
New requirement to enter Thailand – starting May 1, 2025
Starting on this date, all foreign travellers must complete the Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) at least 3 days before their arrival. Review the requirements and complete the form at: http://tdac.immigration.go.th
Your next trip is going to be exciting, and while you hope nothing bad happens, it is best to be ready just in case. When you book your trip, we highly advise that you get travel insurance. It is important to make sure you are properly protected in case of a medical disaster, a flight cancellation, a lost suitcase, or something else that you can not plan for.
What you need to bring depends on the trip you choose and the countries or regions you plan to visit. Since you have to carry your bags, we suggest that you pack as little as possible. As a general rule, we try to make sure you don't have to walk with your bags for more than 15 to 20 minutes. This is why we suggest keeping the weight of your bags between 10-15kg/22-30lb. On Amazing trips, you shouldn't bring a suitcase. Most travelers bring a small to medium-sized backpack or rolling bag (please, no XXL ones!) because they need to fit under the beds on sleeper trains. You will also need a day pack or bag to carry water, cameras, and other electronics like iPods and cell phones.
Some of our hotels have laundry rooms that cost extra. There will be times when you want to or have to do your own laundry, so we recommend that you bring soap that doesn't harm the environment and doesn't build up in the water.
Since currency exchange rates in Asia change often, you should check www.xe.com every day for the most up-to-date rates. There are a lot of ATMs that take both Visa and Mastercard, but most of them are only in big cities. Most transactions are done with US dollars, and we recommend that you bring a small USD unmarked note. Some shops will use credit cards, but there may be a 2-4% fee for the transaction.
As a general rule, people in Asia leave tips for waiters and other service workers, usually around 10% of the bill. Tipping is expected but not required and demonstrates gratitude to tour guides. Although it may not be conventional to you, it is important to your travel companions. In numerous places during the journey, we can tip our local guides or drivers. You can do this alone, or your tour designer will offer to collect and tip in groups. Ask your tour designer for particular recommendations based on conditions and culture for tipping drivers and local guides, which range from $1.5 to $3.5 USD per person each day depending on quality and length of service.
