Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival + Hanoi Walking and Street Food Tours

Arrival Flight: Guest’s own tickets

A warm greeting awaits at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International airport; your private guide and driver will meet you OUTSIDE the arrivals lounge and transfer you (approximately 45 minutes) to your hotel downtown Hanoi.

Please look for your tour guide who holds up your names on a welcome signboard.

While every effort is made to have your room available upon arrival, check-in time is at 02:00 pm; your room may or may not be ready before this time. Your tour guide will provide additional details regarding your stay, and you will be able to ask any questions you may have.

You'll then have plenty of time to recover from your flight, chill out before joining Hanoi street food and walking tour in the late afternoon.

A culinary adventure takes you to taste sampling street food in the Old Quarter. It’s a great opportunity to try all those weird and wonderful foods you see but just aren’t sure what they are! The local brew is a plus point for this short trip. Find an open seat, do as the locals do: pull up a stool and enjoy a drink while watching the world go by at Bia Hoi Corner. Continue to wander in the old quarter’s narrow streets as your guide points out a range of tasty noodles, bread, and snacks. Don't forget to bring a camera to take some beautiful shots of the local nightlife. The pavement in Vietnam is really a street food haven, not only for walking. End the night with dessert from Hanoi’s best-known ice cream parlor before heading back to your hotel.

Arriving at Pu Luong around noon, enjoy a freshly prepared lunch before starting your journey to trek the gorgeous surroundings and ethnic minority tribes. The lovely little bungalows, and the local people dressed in unique outfits, always smile and wave to tourists. Simple life here is the highlight of this short trek. Afternoon
When you get to Ha Giang in the late afternoon, you will be taken to Thon Tha, a small village in Phuong Do Commune that is less than 10 kilometers from Ha Giang City. It only has about 550 people living there. The whole neighborhood is made up of only 90 traditional stilt houses made out of wood, bamboo, and palm leaves.

After you check into a homestay in Thon Tha Village, use the rest of the day to get your energy back and get ready for your exciting trip. Dinner with the family hosting you.

Afternoon

Visit the Sa Phin Valley in the Lung Phin Commune en route. You will visit local workshops that specialize in flax embroidery, weaving, and dying. It has formed a closed chain from self-supply of raw materials to production and consumption and provided employment for 95 Sa Phin village residents. In addition, you will have the opportunity to tour the Hmong King Palace, which previously belonged to the "King of the H'mong Tribe" and was built by French and Chinese architects, resulting in an unusual blend of styles. The palace gained a bad reputation for having been used in the past to hide opium and firearms, but it was demolished in the 1950s. By late afternoon, we will get to Dong Van where we will stay the night. After dinner, feel free to explore the town in your own time and have some rest after a long day of driving but much worth it.

Day 7: Dong Van - Ma Pi Leng - Meo Vac - Bao Lac

Morning
Depending on the day, we may have the opportunity to visit the Dong Van market after breakfast. Each week, the day of the market shifts backward by one day. This is one of the most distinctive marketplaces in the Arctic. Once a week, ethnic minority buyers and sellers from the surrounding hills, including the Hmong, Tay, Nung, and Hoa, converge to Dong Van for commerce.

The following section of road will be the most breathtaking in all of Vietnam. Every single kilometer is defined by enormous peaks, canyons, and lush green valleys. When we reach the Nho Que River, we will board a boat and sail down the river to Tu San Canyon, the deepest canyon in Vietnam and Southeast Asia with a depth of 800 meters, a length of 1.7 kilometers, and a cliff slope of 70 to 90 degrees. After descending into Meo Vac Valley for lunch, we continue our journey.

Afternoon
Reach Bao Lac Village. Check into your Tay Village homestay. A homestay with a breathtaking panorama of fields and mountains. Enjoy dinner at the homestay and a restful night's sleep to regain your strength for tomorrow's exciting activities.

Afternoon
Visit the Ban Gioc waterfall. The waterfall is thirty meters in height. It is divided into three falls by rocks and trees, and the crashing sound of the water on the cliffs is audible from kilometers away. The scenery at Ban Gioc Waterfall is characterized by the lyrical, tranquil beauty of water, forest, and cloud region, combined with the village ambiance of mountain-dwelling ethnic minorities. We'll spend a considerable amount of time here, allowing you to explore, take photos, and take a bamboo canoe so near to the waterfall that the water hits your face!
The next stop is Nguom Ngao Cave, which is home to awe-inspiring rock formations shaped by millennia of erosion. After exploring the cave, we proceed along a scenic route to your accommodation.
