Day 1: Hanoi Arrival

Xin Chào! Welcome to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam.

As soon as you step off the aircraft, a hostess will be waiting for you with a beaming smile and holding a welcome signboard with your name on it. She will assist you in getting through the fast-tracked (VIP) process to get your visa stamped. After you have collected your bags and gotten a stamp for your visa, the hostess will gladly lead you to your waiting guide and driver so that you may be transferred directly to the central location of your hotel. Have fun on your journey through the crowded streets. After you've settled in at your hotel, use the remainder of the day to get some rest and get ready for an exciting trip to Vietnam.

Please note: Your travel documents should include a letter that allows you to obtain a visa upon arrival. Carry this on. Customs requires your Visa-on-Arrival letter upon entering.

There is a tremendously enjoyable experience in store for the golfers today, so make sure to have breakfast and get ready to play at Kings Island Golf Club!

The 36-hole Kings Island Golf Resort is situated on a private island near the Dong Mo reservoir. Upon your arrival by speedboat, you will experience the life of a Hollywood star. Overlooking the man-made lake and the distant Red River Valley is the magnificent Ba Vi mountain range, which makes for a breathtaking background.

Non-golfers can spend the day sightseeing in rural Hanoi. A day trip can take you to sites steeped in incense-making history, conical hats, and lacquer art. Experience authentic Vietnamese cuisine, meet friendly locals, try your hand at traditional crafts, and more on this unforgettable vacation. Remember your adventure with mementos. Visit the incense village of Quang Phu Cau, where the production of traditional incense sticks has persisted for more than a hundred years. As you go around the village, stop to hear the local craftspeople explain their processes. Capture stunning Instagram shots with the picturesque village as a backdrop.

The following stop is a little town famous for its conical hats; a quick drive will get you there. Come here to see the handmade production methods in action and have a go at conical hat painting. Remember your special day with your lovely hat by taking it home with you.

You will have the option of having lunch at a riverfront restaurant or a home-cooked meal with a local craftsman once you've worked up an appetite for painting. Day 3: Hanoi City Tour

After breakfast, your personal guide will come to the hotel to pick you up and take you on your adventure.

You should start your tour by going to Ho Chi Minh's House, which is a plain wooden house in a serene environment where the legendary leader of the country lived and worked.

Continue on to the Tran Quoc Pagoda, which was built in the sixth century and is Hanoi's oldest pagoda. It is located on a small island in West Lake. Take note of the numerous statues depicting lotus flowers and other Buddhist relics. Visit the Quan Thanh Temple, which dates back to the 11th century and features a wide courtyard with a giant banyan tree as well as a shrine dedicated to the most important deities in Taoism.

Visit the Temple of Literature in the afternoon. It was the site of Vietnam's first national university and was constructed in the late 11th century.

Back to the heart of Hanoi for a one-hour cyclo tour of the historic Old Quarter, which is renowned for its '36 streets of 36 products,' so-called because they are named after the first 36 artisan guilds that were established as early as the 13th century. Discover the interesting labyrinth of back lanes, fronted by narrow houses, which offers a wonderfully eclectic look into the life on the streets of Hanoi.

The day will come to a close with a rousing performance of water puppetry, an art form that is exclusive to the northern region of Vietnam and is supposed to have originated in the flooded rice fields of the Red River Delta. The presentation is set to music and features colorful wooden puppets that illustrate scenes of living in rural areas as well as events from national history.

In the late afternoon, we made our way back to the hotel.

You may also use this post office to inform loved ones back home about your adventures thus far on your Vietnam honeymoon. Saigon's magnificent Notre Dame Cathedral, constructed in the neo-Romanesque style by the French between 1863 and 1880, stands just beyond the post office. Because of its stunning appearance, it serves as the backdrop for many wedding photographs taken in Vietnam, and it can also serve this function for the photographs you take on your honeymoon.

It is thought that the concealed network of Viet Cong tunnels spanned "hundreds of miles" in total length and contained living quarters, storage areas, temporary hospitals, kitchens, etc. Although the system was initially somewhat narrow, some sections have been enlarged for tourists, and you have the option to explore them.

Please note that these tunnels will be hot and claustrophobic, so if you want to watch from above ground, that is an option.

Day 11: Ho Chi Minh – Mekong Delta – Ben Tre

Ben Tre Province's unspoiled natural beauty can be reached in just two hours by automobile. Many of its people, known as "Coconut Island," still rely on tradition and centuries-old techniques of production. We highlight the great local people, the places they call home, and the serene rivers they use daily.

Get out of Saigon first thing in the morning and make your way south to the province of Ben Tre, which is well-known for its coconuts and tranquil rivers. Upon reaching Ben Tre, hop on the motorboat waiting for you at the port and set sail down the Mekong River. Boat rides are an essential part of every Mekong Delta visit. An unforgettable way to explore the Mekong Delta's allure and immerse yourself in its lively culture is to take a leisurely boat ride along the river. Seeing a brick factory in Ben Tre, where the Mekong people still use an ancient method to make mud bricks. Bricks are essential in regional construction, and here you can see the painstaking process of turning raw materials into strong ones. You can tell that a lot of care and attention went into making these bricks by listening to the steady hum of the machinery and seeing the talented hands of the workers mold and shape them. The tour continued with a stop at a local coconut home, where we learned all about coconuts and their numerous purposes (candy, wine, oil, mat, and shell). At the local coconut workshop, our knowledgeable tour guide will also explain the process of making cocoa candy, which is perfect for kids. Taking pleasure in complimentary samples of regional dishes while learning about the routines of locals. Setting out on an expedition by bike or tuk-tuk (it's up to you) that brings you to the real Ben Tre. Surrounded by tranquil nature, picturesque villages, and verdant fields, you may fully immerse yourself in the local culture and way of life. After that, we see the locals in Ben Tre and learn how to weave mats by hand using sedge.

In the riverfront family house, lunch will be served set menu consisting of delectable Southern local cuisine for lunch.

Once lunch is over, you will get the opportunity to experience the most memorable part of your trip: you will be able to ride the rowing boat that is pushed by the locals along the breathtakingly gorgeous coconut canal in Ben Tre. At the end of our tour of the Mekong Delta, we will take one more boat ride to the boat station, and then head back to the city.

Visas and Entry Requirements

All countries require a valid passport (with a minimum of 6 months validity). For the most up-to-date visa requirements, call your local embassy or consulate or talk with us. It is up to you to make sure that you have the right travel documents. Whether or not you need a visa for your trip depends on where you come from and where you are going. We try to keep the information below as up-to-date as we can, but rules do change, and sometimes without notice. Even though we give you the following information in good faith, you must check it for yourself and know that you are in charge of your own visa needs.

Let's use our guide to make it easy to get a visa. Here

VIETNAM: If you need a visa for Vietnam, you need to get one before your trip. You can't get one immediately when you get there because it takes processing time. If you are going to enter Vietnam through a land border, you will need to apply for a regular Vietnam visa. The Vietnam E-Visa is not accepted at many of the land borders we cross.

Cambodia: Most people can get a visa at the airport in either Phnom Penh or Siem Reap. If you travel by land from Thailand, you can get a visa at Poipet Banteay Meanchey and Cham Yeam (Koh Kong province). Visitors from Vietnam who enter Cambodia by land through Bavet/Moc Bai or Ka-Om Samnor/Chau Doc will need to have their visas from a Cambodian Embassy or Consulate abroad before they arrive. E-Visa can also be used by tourists to get their visas. No matter how you get into Cambodia, a tourist visa is valid for one month. You should also be ready with min 2 photos 5cm x 5cm with a white or off-white background

Tourist visas are required to enter Laos. Tourist visas for 30 days are given out by the Lao government at all international airports and most border crossings. Go to the visa desk when you get to the airport, and the staff will walk you through the process. The process is fast and easy to understand. You will need two passport-size photographs and approx $50

What to Take

What you need to bring depends on the trip you choose and the countries or regions you plan to visit. Since you have to carry your own bags, we suggest that you pack as little as possible. As a general rule, we try to make sure you don't have to walk with your bags for more than 15 to 20 minutes. This is why we suggest keeping the weight of your bags between 10-15kg/22-30lb. On Amazing trips, you shouldn't bring a suitcase. Most travelers bring a small to medium-sized backpack or rolling bag (please, no XXL ones!) because they need to fit under the beds on sleeper trains. You will also need a day pack or bag to carry water, cameras, and other electronics like iPods and cell phones.

Laundry

Some of our hotels have laundry rooms that cost extra. There will be times when you want to or have to do your own laundry, so we recommend that you bring soap that doesn't harm the environment and doesn't build up in the water.

Money exchange

Since currency exchange rates in Asia change often, you should check www.xe.com every day for the most up-to-date rates. There are a lot of ATMs that take both Visa and Mastercard, but most of them are only in big cities. Most transactions are done with US dollars, and we recommend that you bring a small USD unmarked note. Some shops will use credit cards, but there may be a 2-4% fee for the transaction.
